"Here’s the thing, this is an absolutely beautiful establishment. Everything about it is gorgeous and you feel like you are in Bridgerton. But the weekend I spent there was overshadowed by the fact that I am fairly certain half the staff were new to the job, not inly to this establishment, but to hospitality. I don’t know which one of them were the manager, but I hope they are aware they are doing a horrible job. The staff were disorganised, and they were absolutely horrible trained. It was constantly up to the guest to point out things that the staff should notice. If you, whatever job you have, walk past trash or dishes/glass, take them with you! Check that everything in the room works. When you walk through the buffet, check if anything is empty and refill it. And for heaven’s sake, if something is delayed, let the guests now. Everyone was really polite, very nice, as people they were amazing. And they did try, it just felt like they had no idea what to do most of the time and was just milling around until someone pointed out stuff to them. Or you couldn’t find anyone at all, which when I assume they had a staff meeting doing rock, paper, scissors to figure out who had which job. But this can luckily be fixed and I hope it will, because it’s way to pretty of a place to be treated like that. "

"Det var eit flott hotell med stor lobby og store rom. Alt var reint og fint. Det var tradisjonell engelsk frukost med litt pålegg og utvalg av frukt og yoghurt i tillegg. Det var også litt søtt bakverk for dei som liker det. Restauranten tilbaud og middag, men det hadde ikkje me. Hotellet ligg 5-7 minutt frå sentrum av Winchester med taxi eller buss. Bussen går to gonger i timen på dagtid og èin gong i timen på kveldstid og i helger. Busstoppen er berre eit par minutt frå hotellet. Èin kan òg ta bussen til Alton eller Alresford. Særleg sistnevnte er èin koselig småby og èin kan ta eit gamalt damplokomotiv derifrå til Alton og så buss tilbake igjen. Bussbillett er sekspunkts for vaksne uansett distanse. Frå Winchester er det òg enkelt å koma seg med tog til Salisbury og vidare til Stonehenge viss ein vil. Elles mange attraksjonar i Winchester viss èin er interessert i historie. Byen har ei lita bykjerne og lett å finna fram i. Mange greie plassar å eta, både puber, pannekakehus og pizzarestaurantar. "
