I have to start with saying that I loved the aesthetics of this hotel. It felt very modern, colorful and just brightened my mood being there. The staff was super friendly at all times of the day. The area was super great. Endless food options, close to all the outlets. Easy parking.
Now onto the not so pleasant. The hotel seems to have a SERIOUS ant issue. LITERALLY any snacks or left overs we had were filled with ants the next day. It was a distributing sight. By the 3rd day, we just knew we couldn’t bring anything back to the room. The most concerning part for me and what made me feel extremely uneasy was an interaction I had with the front desk staff. I had came back after a long night and went to buy a water. I went up to the reception area to pay for it. The young lady asks me for my room number (313) so I give it to her. She then gives me a room key. I’m a little confused and start to pull out my card to pay for the water and I go how much. To which she replies, oh we don’t charge to your room, you need to pay and I’m like yeah…that’s what I came up trying to do. She goes OH, I thought you needed a key to your room. And tells me, oh you pay with her and signals me to the young lady next to her. So I give her the extra room key back. It dawned on me. This young lady did NOT ask me for my name or ID but handed me a key to a room without knowing who I was and if that was even my room! Major safety concern!
