Chose this hotel for proximity to Seaworld and Discovery Cove (walking distance). Parking is high and there’s not much for kids to do, but it’s got a nice small pool (supposedly heated but freezing during our stay, it was in the upper 30s at night and I guess it was too much for it to overcome). Breakfast selection was great, our room had one of those little pod coffee makers instead of a regular drip coffeemaker or Keurig so we ended up getting our coffee in the lobby every morning.
The only negative was the parking, you register with a QR code and it gives you a valet parking ticket (digital) then apparently they charge to your card on file for your room. The front desk assured me it was showing paid on my account but I have not seen it post to my credit card 2 days after my stay, and have concerns after reading all the reviews mentioning collection calls for unpaid parking fees. Fingers crossed that all is well!
Also, I tried to do a load of laundry the day before departing and a single person was using 3 washers and 3 dryers for most of the day, seemed a little excessive for someone to have that much laundry during a hotel stay unless they were laundering for a large group. Thankful I had clean clothes to wear home!
I would probably not stay here again with kids, but for adults or couples it’s clean and convenient, just be prepared for possible parking and laundry snafus.
