Before arriving, I called ahead and spoke directly with the General Manager, explaining that this stay could be a precursor to becoming my regular hotel in the area if things went well. I specifically requested a quiet room on the highest floor. While I was technically placed on the highest floor, the room was surrounded by constant door slamming, children screaming, and loud banging, making it anything but quiet.
The so-called amenities do not match what is advertised.
• The washer and dryer, which were listed as perks, were mostly out of order.
• The “heated” swimming pool was consistently cold.
• The pool deck receives direct sunlight for only about one hour a day, which hardly qualifies as a resort-style experience.
Despite this, I was charged an additional “resort fee.” Calling this property a resort is misleading at best. To make matters worse, rooms are not cleaned daily—housekeeping is provided only once per week.
When I raised concerns about the resort fee, I was then pressured and gaslighted into signing a contract for future stays, at a nightly rate higher (in Canadian dollars) than what is publicly available on major travel sites, which felt completely inappropriate.
Overall, this stay felt overpriced, poorly managed, and misrepresented. Ileana Chris At the front desk are the only reasons I’m giving this place 2 stars.
