Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive an email message from Casa de Kona Vacation Rentals with a secure digital link to our Rental Agreement. This is a standard step for all Casa de Kona guests. We kindly ask that the agreement be reviewed and signed within 24 hours to complete your booking. Reservations with unsigned agreements after this timeframe will be cancelled per our booking policy so the dates can be reopened for other guests.

THE INDOOR SPACE
Step into the open-concept living room of the 1,200-sq-ft, two-story Casa de Kona Hideaway with its high ceilings and view of the deck. Relax on comfy seating as the ceiling fan circulates air cooled by air-conditioning (one of the rare homes in the area to offer AC). Watch your favorite shows and sports on the 45” TCL Roku smart TV that streams Hulu with Disney Plus, and ESPN, using Casa de Kona's log-ins or your own log-ins.
The open-concept floorplan means you are just steps away from the Hideaway’s fully outfitted kitchen where you can prep and cook your favorite recipes with the help of the full-size stainless-steel fridge with icemaker, chef-preferred gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, Cuisinart and Keurig coffeemakers, French Press, toaster, waffle iron, blender, hand mixer, InstaPot, rice cooker, and crockpot. Everything you need is here, including full set of Circulon pots and pans, pizza pans, cookware, chef’s knives, stock pots, cooking utensils, glassware for wine, as well as kids’ plastic forks, spoons, bowls, and plates.
For dining, you have the option of the Hideaway’s eat-in island area or dine al fresco at the table on the 800-sq-ft Sun Deck with umbrellas, additional lounge seating around the fire table, and patio heater. You’ll find a grill here, too.
OUTDOOR SPACE
Discover a delightful world of outdoor living on a beautiful, lush, landscaped property that the Hideaway shares with the attached Casa de Kona - Casita (Vrbo # 2084422), which can be rented separately or together as the larger Casa de Kona - Villa (Vrbo # 2084425). Each unit on this property has its own designated private spaces. When you rent the Hideaway, you are renting the Guest House, which has a designated private entrance, outdoor dining table on your own outdoor deck w/ lounging area, patio heater, fire table, BBQ. You will not be sharing your deck, your BBQ, or your fire table. The only shared space is the large grassy area that extends out and away from your deck. Kids ¬– and adults – will exult in this grassy area with plenty of yard games – Pop-a-Shot, Yardzee, Jenga, cornhole, Connect 4. Smokers will appreciate the designated smoking areas with seating.
BEDROOM SPACE:
- Hideaway Bedroom #1 offers a king bed with Hotel Collection luxury bedding, ceiling fan, 45” TCL ROKU smart TV, and the ability to step right out onto the Sun Deck through slider doors.
- The spacious Hideaway Bedroom #2 on the second floor provides a king bed with Hotel Collection luxury bedding, 45” TCL ROKU smart TV; large dresser; a seating area; ensuite bathroom with tons of storage, a walk-in closet with dressing area, iron and ironing board; and access to a delightful balcony with seating and a small table – perfect for morning hot beverages, conversation, games, snacks, or cocktails.
For additional sleeping needs, you’ll also find a Crate and Barrel king-size sleeper sofa in the Hideaway living room.
BATHROOM SPACE:
Rejuvenate and refresh in your choice of two bathrooms. In addition to the ensuite bathroom, the common-area bathroom provides a large shower stall, luxury bath towels, and bathroom products.
LAUNDRY SPACE:
You’ll love the convenience of a full set of laundry facilities with laundry sink and detergent supplied.
BEACH DAYS: You will delight in being beach-ready with a huge set of beach supplies – beach chairs, umbrellas, beach wagon, beach toys, boogie boards, and body boards, found on the walkway/pathway toward the front door.

GUEST ACCESS:
No fumbling with keys; self-check-in is available with digital keypad.
PARKING:
2 car-maximum. Street parking only, directly in front of home and abundant at all times. Street sweeping occurs 2nd & 4th Monday of every month.
PETS/ANIMALS:
No pets/animals allowed at any time.
MAX OCCUPANCY MUST BE LIMITED TO 6 AT ALL TIMES.
QUIET HOURS at Casa de Kona begin at 10PM-10AM. Guest must be willing to comply with South Oceanside's residential noise ordinance laws.
SECURITY & SAFETY: To ensure the safety of all guests and the two homes on the property, security cameras are installed in the exterior common area, the outdoor shared space. These cameras actively monitor the property's perimeter at all times.
