«This is my second stay in this home. It’s cozy and peaceful and perfect for our needs. I saw bald eagles and otters again and made some more wonderful memories. Cathy the owner is very kind and easy to communicate with. The home has amenities I don’t usually find in other short term rentals and the fresh eggs were a lovely treat. We will be back for sure!»

«Quaint, charming, perhaps a little outdated and neglected (screens on door were ripped, had to get down on hands and knees to turn on old heater). So why did I rate it a 5? It was everything I wanted - an authentic 1920s cottage right on the creek, that wasn't charging an arm and a leg. The setting can't be beat! Would highly recommend!»

«Super clean, comfortable, and convenient for our trip for the Big Sur Marathon! Walked to Carmel Beach several times. Safeway and restaurants about one mile away. Loved enjoying the outdoor patio space. Kitchen had everything we needed. Nice quiet neighborhood.»

The cottage and the gardens are something out of a Hans Christian fairy tale. Hillary is incredibly responsive and clearly takes great care of the cottage with love. Pure perfection.»

«Beautifully appointed & remodeled. Plenty of towels, toiletries & top notch kitchenware. Inviting, comfy down comforter & empty dressers/night stands with plenty of outlets & giant TV in the bedroom. Beautiful living room with very comfortable furniture, another giant TV, throws & pillows to cuddle up & watch a movie. Incredible views of green, lush landscape. We can't wait to visit again!»

The location could not have been better, central to everything but nestled away to provide the quiet we desired. The patio itself was a little oasis away from the hustle of daily life. And Chuck and Diane were absolutely wonderful, welcoming hosts.»

«The view was beautiful and the space itself is quiet with a nice layout. It was so much better than staying at a hotel, and if you are hoping to see one of those cool (not so) little banana slugs, they are around here. We saw at least a half dozen large ones with even more babies. The location is also perfect, with stores and restaurants nearby, 40 minutes from San Jose airport, 20 minutes from Santa Cruz boardwalk and 5 minutes from Roaring Camp and Henry Cowell state park. «Bill is an amazing host. This property has had a lot of thought and energy put into it to make it very cozy, comfortable, and convenient. The two fire places are wonderful and the house had every convenience we needed. Everything was very clean and neat. There’s also multiple outdoor spaces where you can go enjoy some fresh air and lovely gardens. This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay!»

«The hotel pobably is 1960ies, and it totally looks that way. It is clean, but it is in dire need of some upgrades and remodelling. The rooms and kitchen are large but worn, cupboard doors come loose etc. The breakfast is a joke, but then again most guests probably make their own meals in their rooms. Note however, there are no kitchen utensils. Good thing is that it is close to airport and restaurants.»

«Vi ble overrasket over at ingen hentet søppel og skittende håndklær. Begge vaskene (kjøkken og bad) var nesten ubrukelig. Vi fant heller ingen muligjet til å ha det kaldt på soverom, og samtidig varmt i stuen og på badet. Ellers var hytten koselig, og godt utstyrt, men til den prisen burde vi få bedre renhold og også kaffe til mer enn en dag.»
