Website specifically stated valet parking available. I understand it gets full. Lady at front desk told me there may not be any spots left as soon as I checked in, so went immediately to valet after. She also told me you shouldn’t bring a car during Mardi Gras. I’ve always brought my car and never had an issue until now. Valet said they had one spot left but would have to move my car to the front of the hotel till it opened. 30 mins or so after we left the car with them, they asked us to come get our key so they wouldn’t lose it and they would call us when they were ready to park it. We were in and out of the hotel while waiting and they told us not to go far so we could bring the key when ready. We set up on the route while waiting. Finally got a call after two hours saying that NOPD was about to tow our car and to come get it. I do so and find other parking, but I had a parking ticket. I trusted valet with my car and they parked it illegally and now I have a ticket to pay. Of the two rooms booked, one had a strong smell of sewage in the room and in the hallway. It was sickening. Beautiful hotel but very disappointing. Won’t be back.
