Where to start on the Quality Inn I-10 East. We extended our amazing holiday so we could enjoy New Orleans.
So we booked 4 nights, based on photos, price, breakfast and locality. Touring the room we noticed the enamel in the bathtub was chipped and bubbled my partner then pointed out a black pubic hair on the tiles, I then saw 3 more in and around the bath.
Retiring to bed after cleaning the bathroom I heard several gunshots in the surrounding area. This put us on edge for sometime.
While we were discussing this and deciding whether to stay there for the rest of our holiday....
My Partner screamed and shouted "What the hell is that"? I sat up and saw a Cockroach at least 2.5 inches long and an inch wide heading for the the sink/kitchen area. Decision made, as it was now midnight we agreed we'd find another hotel in Downtown New Orleans.
I returned the next day in an Uber, collected our luggage and went to checkout. Agreed with reception that I was liable for 2 nights. He then refused refund of remaining stay. He offered me another room, I asked if it was Roach free he shrugged and laughed saying "I dunno"
Terrible, terrible, terrible motel. This place should be removed from Expedia website and Health and Hygiene should close it down. Can Expedia contact me with regards to a full refund.
