Like many areas of New Orleans, the neighborhood is undergoing some renovations just like this house did. Some homes have been completely restored and others are awaiting their salvation! While some spots in the area may look a little rough, we've never experienced any safety issues here and our neighbors are wonderful people!

Mid-City has a rhythm all its own - second-line parades rolling past corner bars, the clang of the streetcar a few blocks away, the smell of coffee drifting from neighborhood cafés before the city fully wakes up. This classic shotgun home drops you right into it, with the kind of authentic character that takes decades to earn.
 
Living space
Tall windows pull natural light deep into the home, landing on curated décor and furnishings that feel rooted in the neighborhood rather than staged for it. The traditional shotgun layout runs the rooms end to end - a design born in New Orleans and still very much alive here. Ceiling fans keep the air moving, and the sound system means you can set the mood the moment you walk in. Room-darkening shades, extra pillows, and blankets are on hand for whenever you're ready to slow down.
 
Sleeping arrangements
Two bedrooms are set up with comfortable mattresses, soft linens, and plush bedding so you wake up rested and ready. Because this is a true shotgun layout, the rooms connect in sequence - you'll pass through one bedroom to reach the next. It's not a quirk, it's history, and it's part of what makes staying here feel genuinely New Orleans.
 
Kitchen & dining
The fully stocked kitchen is set up for everything from a quick morning coffee to a full dinner before a night out. You'll find a refrigerator, freezer, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, blender, toaster, baking sheet, wine glasses, cooking basics, and all the dishes and silverware you need. Pull up a chair at the dining table and take your time - there's no rush here.
 
Bathroom
The bathroom includes a bathtub and shower, with hot water and a full set of essentials already waiting: shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, hair dryer, and cleaning products. Towels and linens are provided so you can pack light.
 
Outdoor living
The private, fully fenced backyard is where evenings tend to end up. Gather around the fire pit, settle into the outdoor furniture, and fire up the BBQ when the mood strikes. It's a genuinely comfortable outdoor space - and it's pet-friendly, so four-legged travel companions are welcome to make themselves at home too.
 
Convenience & extras
Air conditioning and heating keep things comfortable whatever the season brings. A washer and dryer, iron, hangers, and a full set of bathroom essentials mean you can travel without overthinking the logistics. The home has a private entrance and a smart lock for self check-in, so arrival is easy on your schedule. Free street parking is available right outside.

Trader Joe's, local cafés, and the streetcar line are all just blocks away, connecting you to City Park, the French Quarter, the Superdome, and beyond.
