The coffee pot didn’t work. The cleaning in room was not great. The water in the shower was VERY soft and only ever hit room temperature. There is no hair dryer, and the plugs in the bathroom didn’t work.
Everything shuts down early. The pool area closes at 5. No problem. However, the adult only infinity pool on the fourth floor shuts down by seven. There are no lights. It is a no go at that point.The hot tub outside was not hot.
Some of the staff was nice (the people who work in Frank & Lola's). Mostly, though, the staff was indifferent at best and, at worst, rude.
The bulk of the hotel was very clean. As well, keep in mind that everything is very expensive. The price is the price plus a 15% gratuity added everywhere plus another 10% VAT. A virgin daquiri for my teen was $14 American plus 25%. It was not oversized, just in a typical plastic cup. A soda was $6.00 plus the two taxes and was refillable in the restaurant but not poolside.
The view from the balcony was lovely. The ICONs was advertised as having a movie theatre. It was not in working order. It had a few bowling lanes, but it was $20 a game. There were only a few arcade games. It was $11 for 5 or 6 coins. Most games took one coin but two of the six took two.
After I stayed at the Margarittaville in Tennessee, I had good expectations. It was disappointing.
