«I (from Switzerland) was visiting New York with my 15 year old teenager daughter. We used the place mainly just to sleep and for that it was okay. Nothing exceptional, but okay value for money. We were warned by local friends that the area is dangerous, but felt safe walking in and out of Harlem to the city as well as by tube at all times and had a really good time in NYC. «We booked this property for (1) night, 5 days before we were going to New York. We live in Maryland. Instant booking, no issues. I didn’t hear from the host at all. I messaged the host twice Saturday. The day I was suppose to be checking in. He then calls my cell phone and tells me that this rental is usually meant for 3-4 night stay minimum. «We booked our stay here two days before checking in. On the day of we had not heard from the host. After multiple attempts to contact them, via app and phone call, it wasn’t until 45 minutes after we were supposed to check in that our reservation was cancelled due to having been double booked on another platform. Very disappointing as it left us scrambling to find somewhere else to stay. The area was nice and walkable, but a disappointing turn of events.»
