Llangynwyd Village Hall Marked on the OS map as a place of worship, the building now called Llangynwyd Village Hall was originally built as a schoolhouse by the Margam Estate during the 19th Century and used until the existing village Primary School was built in the 1920s. In 1895 it is recorded as having a school roll of 96 pupils. After it ceased being a school it became a church dedicated to St. Stephen. The building was used as a church up until the 1990s before declining church attendance resulted in it being sold for use as an artist’s studio. It was officially opened as the Llangynwyd Village Hall in April 2014.

Lovely stay at the Vale Resort
Lovely stay at the Vale Resort. The double bed was really two singles pushed together, which is very annoying since there is a large split in the middle of the bed. Not nice for a couple on a getaway ;-) Also the ironboard was useless. Other than that the resort was great, staff very helpful. £30 ...

The room was absolutely spotless, so comfy ! Shower was amazing even had a little warmer to warm bathroom up. Staff was amazing and the food was too notch!

The room smells clean as you come in, always a great start. Spotlessly clean. Rooms are ensuite with a little kitchen area, all decorated differently. We had a little table to eat at as well. Margam Castle is a large mansion house built in Margam, Port Talbot, Wales, for the Talbot family. Today it is a country park run by Neath Port Talbot Council and has many family attractions (petting farm, miniature railway and many trails to walk. There are even the remains of an 11th century abbey on the site to explore. The "castle" is actually a comfortable Victorian era country house, one of many "mock" castles built in the 19th century during the Gothic Revival. It was commissioned by Christopher Rice Mansel Talbot (1803–1890) and was constructed over a ten-year period from 1830 to 1840.
