Fin beliggenhet
Koselig hotell og ansatte. Trygt og rolig strøk og i tillegg veldig nær Sloane Square. Litt nedslitt, men var nok et ærverdig hotell i glansdagene.

Fint hotell sentralt beliggenhet
Fint hotell, fikk en fin mottagelse når vi kom, bra størrelse på rommet, sengen var stor og komfortabel. Grei frokost, var et greit utvalg for de fleste, engelsk frokost, eneste minus her var at det ikke var aircondition, var fryktelig tett luft da vinduene ikke kunne åpnes skikkelig, om de skal gjøre noe endringer kan de fjerne badekaret, behold dusj i stedet. Kommer gjerne tilbake hit ved en senere anledning, dog ikke i sommervarmen

The best thing about this hotel is that it is located in the very heart of London and Knightsbridge with very close distance to great shopping, restaurants and bars. It is about 10 minuts walk to Sloane square station and to Knightsbridge station. Simply great locaion. Wit regard to hotel itself it is quite OK standard wise. The room was clean, and bed was confortable, the room was quite small. The breakfast was standard british breakfast. The bad thing about the hotel was very poor sound isolatoin between te rooms. I could hear my neighbours, their shower, and worst of all I could hear the entrance door ring and people talking outside the room all night, so I could not sleep!!!!

Hadde et fint opphold. Veldig hyggelig betjening og flott service. Hotellet lå sentralt til, gå avstand til mange severdigheter og shopping. Rommet var rent og hadde en grei størrelse , men det hadde trengt en oppgradering.

Charming Hotel
The Hotel is as others mentioned quite charming. The area around has few immediate places to eat, and you'll have to walk a few minutes to get anywhere as it seems to be exclusively houses in the vicinity. I got a room in the cellar, but I did not care too much for the somewhat distressed walls (also mentioned before). My room was larger than expected, and had some very nice paintings of Victorian Era London. The ceiling was quite high, making the room feel even better. Bathroom was ok, and had a bathtub. The bed perhaps slightly narrow if you're lying to in a single room, but good and soft enough. Slightly annoyed that the cleaning staff did my room despite me having the 'don't disturb' sign on the door, but this is a nuissance.

Veldig hyggelig opphold, gode senger, rent og pent god frokost( kaffeen spesielt god)! noe gjennomgangstrafikk ellers meget fredelig, men det finnes rom mot bakgård.

Veldig bra service
Veldig bra service,Fikk en nedtur da de sa at de ikke hadde fanget opp i bestillingen at vi hadde ett barn med oss og måtte ta ett annet rom enn det som var tiltenkt. Men de ordnet det på en fantastisk måte og ga oss ett bedre rom til samme pris.

Hyggelig hotell
Hyggelig hotell, god service fra personalet i lobbyen. Noen av renholdspersonale kan godt smile litt mer, og gjerne si hei når du møter dem. Hotellet har sjarme, er unektelig noe slitt, som vises enkelte steder på rommet som i mitt tilfelle var meget stort (dobbeltrom). Enkelte ganger noen støy fra lobbyen som merkes siden hotellet er lytt. Frokosten var bra, typisk engelsk, relativt lite utvalg av pålegg etc, men holder i massevis. Renholdet var meget bra, hotellet ligger i et relativt rolig strøk nær to undergrunnsstasjoner i hver sin rettning, ca. 10 min gange. Alt i alt en fin opplevelse, kommer gjerne tilbake.

The location is amazing! The property is a throw back to the 1950’s, not in a good way! The room was TINY, crappy single bed, cannot control temperature was way too hot,! My bad, you get what you pay for. T

Thank you for your feedback and for staying with us. We have rooms of various sizes ranging from 12 square meters up to 35 square meters, depending on the room type. In regards to the temperature, reception is always happy to assist if you feel uncomfortable.

This is a sweet little place at a perfect location for central London visits. My single room was of modes size but had all I needed for a pleasant stay. The room could welcome a touch of renovation, but bed was good for sleeping. Unfortunately, only UK standard plugs, so don't forget your adapter. The staff is extremely friendly and pleasant, makes feel staying at home. I will be checking the place again for sure.

Tiny, worn-down rooms. Good location and friendly
I got a small, worn-down room under the roof. The bed was hard and the bathroom so worn-out it was impossible to see if it was clean or not. The staff was friendly and helpful and the location was great. I'll probably not stay there again though.

Comfortable beds, nice location
I found my room "street Level" to be rather noisy, so they moved me to the 2nd floor, was much better, Bed was comfortable and overall it was a nice place to stay, great location, very helpful staff...

Screams of a lack of pride in ownership
This property is in dire need of updating. Poor drainage - VERY DIRTY - not to mention the security issue that comes with having to leave your room key with the front desk. That’s right - lock everything up in the unattached safe or take it with you because the property requires that you leave your key with them in case of emergency. Strange and disconcerting. Property is in a neighborhood so dining options are further away. The shower is awkward, tiny and leaky. The cost is inexplicably expensive and feels like thievery considering the condition. There are better options and I HIGHLY recommend them above our experience at the Diplomat. Besides the old dirty carpet, out of date plumbing and lack of convenience the place was layered in dust and lazy maintenance.

The hotel is not perfect for a 3 stars hotel however I would give it 2 stars. The price is quite high with respect to the facilities and I believe it is because of the location only. I check the facilities to make sure the rooms have fridge however When I got my room ( single bed ) I noticed that it doesn’t include a fridge. The elevator also is very tight and old fashion. The price that I paid for a tight single room is not worth it at all.

Great value in SW1!
Very central location. Six minutes walk to Sloane Square tune or red bus into the West End. Tariff very reasonable for Belgravia. Have stayed here several times over the years. A bit quaint (especially the lift) but comfortable and friendly.

My room was on the fourth floor. There was absolutely NO air circulation. To say it was HOT is an understatement. I didn’t get any sleep. I just sweat. It was a sauna. The window barely opened at the top so even when it cooled off a bit outside it didn’t matter. No cool air came into the room.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, and breakfast is good, but hotel is old and could use a renovation. Also no AC which doesn't usually matter but sometimes in summer it can be hot.

Very nice hotel with old world charm in quiet location with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Room was large with many amenities and good wifi. Good and ample breakfast available. Bon rapport qualité prix
Chambre petite (normal à Londres), propre, bouilloire avec sachets de thé et de café, lit confortable, salle de bain un peu petite (proportionnelle à la chambre). Personnel aimable et serviable. Seul bémol: l'ascensceur s'arrette au 3ème étage (j'étais au 4 ème) les escaliers pour accéder à l'étage étaient étroits, un peu compliqué si vous avez des difficultés à marcher, surtout en montant ou descendant ses bagages. Mais ne pas hésiter à demander de l'aide au personnel (je les ai vu descendre les bagages d'autres clients). Victoria coach station n'est pas loin à pied ce qui était très interessant pour moi. Je le recommande volontier et j'y retournerais probablement la prochaine fois que j'irais à Londres.

An excellent hotel with everything you need for a good stay in London. Staff were very friendly and helpful which always helps to make a good experience. Would recommend and will book again. Nearest tube Sloane Square about 7 mins walk and surrounding area has plenty of restaurants and shops.

Staying at the Diplomat hotel was like stepping back in time (in the best way!) The building has so much charm, but more importantly, the staff were exceptional. As a single traveller, they made me feel very welcome - and nothing was too much trouble. I stayed in a single room and all facilities were of good quality. Usually my rule is to avoid breakfast at hotels (oftentimes they can be way overpriced) - here, I decided that the price was very reasonable and the breakfast experience turned out to be a delight! Tucked away in the basement, with access to the garden/patio area via french windows, the breakfast room was cozy and well-appointed. For me, the added bonus was the background music (eclectic show tunes). As someone who can’t abide facing the news first thing in the morning, this was so much more refreshing. Overall, I would not hesitate to stay here again, at this gorgeous hotel - with its beautiful architecture, and more importantly, its beautiful people.
