«Arriving at Orchid Harbor and taking in the view, sound, and smell of the ocean across the lawn makes all of the daily stresses of the mainland melt away. The century old house is charming, welcoming, and comforting. It feels like you are staying with good friends or family. With all of the living spaces, it feels roomy and cozy at the same time and wraps around you like a hug. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. «Wow what a beautiful location. We were there right at the peak of fall leaf colors. Would have loved to take a kayak out with my fish rods but the water was cold and we had some rough waters that week. Would love to go back and enjoy this area in the summer.The place was clean and comfortable.So much to do and see in the area so we were only there to sleep at night. »

«The location and views from the cottage are quintessential coastal Maine. Small community with lobster pound and Maine Oyster Company across the street. John is a welcoming host and eager to make sure you enjoy your stay. The cottage is great for 2 people, equipped with the basics and has a great deck to enjoy the views. Planning to return next year. Great spot!»

«This is a very good place for two couples or families with two pre teen children. It’s in a somewhat hilly, but walkable neighborhood with locally owned restaurants and cafes nearby. It’s a two mile walk or drive to the heart of the Old Port, and the locally renowned Becky’s Diner is about a half mile away. Please note that there’s one bathroom and it’s on the second floor, which requires climbing a flight of stairs. There’s on street parking, which we were lucky to find spaces nearby.»
