The Ruby Mountains in northeastern Nevada, is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. This is one of the Dollar Lakes that we passed on our hike to Lamoille Lake.

Another view from the trail at the end of the road, heading back north with a nice view of some pretty impressive peaks in the background.

At the end of the road into Lamoille Canyon in the Humboldt National Forest you'll find a trail that continues back toward the south. About 10 minutes in I happened across this plank bridge crossing a small stream. Very easy hike to this point with only a few hundred feet elevation gain. A little ways beyond required a tougher crossing across logs and boulders which I was not prepared for but supposedly about 2 miles back is a lake that signs say is about 1-1/2 hours hike. Next time I'll have to bring my gear and try that!
