Unable to answer these questions as we didnt stay, but somehow our card says otherwise. Showed up to the hotel close to 5pm when check in was 4pm. With a 2 year old close to bedtime after a long day just to be told "we meant to call you, but we dont have the room available." We purposly picked a room with a private sleeping area. Was told Expedia pushed it through and it was on their end. Was offered another room, but didn't fit our needs. Room was non-refundable and when asked for a refund was told you have to contact Expedia. Asked if the other room would be discounted which was also told no. I am 3 hours away from home with a 2 year old and left the property to try to hurry and find something else. I did ask if we can't find something if we could come back and she said yes. Immediately contacted expedia and talked to an agent via chat to cancel. They stated they apologized, but hotel didnt answer and they didnt have an agent available and would contact me soon. Found another last minute hotel that qas more expensive but were kind enough to take us last minute. Been trying to deal with this today and had to call 3 times. As of 2pm today they stated they havent heard back from hotel in regards to a refund. Called again and was told that the hotel was denying my refund as I "no showed." Not sure how that is possible considering we didnt even have the room we booked available. Waiting to see how this is handled, but very disappointed on both ends.
