«Charming rooms set on beautiful grounds. We loved the 1/2 mile nature walk on the property. The hotel is located next to a general store, and is just a few minutes drive from Volcanoes National Park.»

«Kellie was truly welcoming and accommodating, giving us a tour around the place when we arrived. Such a lovely and unique stay, and it was an added bonus that we were able to go foraging for fresh macadamia nuts in the yard! Truly like paradise. The location is also a great place for stargazing at night. Thank you again, Kellie!»

«Jon was an excellent, friendly, and helpful host who even offered to buy groceries for us when he went to Hilo. The inn was conveniently located next to the Volcano National Forest, which we visited often. »

«Pros: This is our first time staying at a lodge like this, so close to nature, just like camping. You will hear coqui frog whole night & seeing them jumping next to your door step. Animals free roaming, peacocks, ducks, chicken. Kids loved it.
Cons: There is barely any light at night in the Property…so if you come back late, it’s a bit challenging to find your cabin.»

«We loved our stay at Dragonfly Ranch. The location is out of the way but perfect for seeing the beauty and splendor that is Hawaii. The people are kind and interesting. It's not for everyone. You are quite immersed in nature. There will be geckos in your room and the birds and insects are right outside. It's almost like camping with a comfy bed. »

«We truly enjoyed our stay at Volcano Ranch. It is super convenient to Volano Park, but also a gem unto itself. The animals are delightful and our room overlooking the pond was super warm and cozy on a cool, rainy day. Every detail has been considered to make your stay here as comfortable as possible. Would definitely stay again should we ever be in the area!»

«The drive up the hill was a little confusing but once we we're properly directed and Shanti welcomed us, we felt right at home. She made all the difference in our stay with her hospitality and friendliness! She was very attentive to our needs and dedicated to making sure we had a great experience. I hope if we ever return that she is still there to host us!»
