The room was clean but felt outdated. The front desk clerk was a bit rude when we checked that 1am. I called at 11pm and spoke to the same guy to let him know we were on our way (everything was paid in advance) so don’t give our room away. We drove down from Virginia that day and due to traffic incidents we went 4 hours delayed driving for 18 hours. His reply was, “just so you know we are sold out for tonight.” I repeated my statement and he repeated what he said, I didn’t understand what that mattered. I asked did they still have our room but he didn’t answer. Breakfast was extremely chaotic. The various levels and steps make it hazardous to carry your food in both hands because crossing the little bridge I needed to hold onto something. Not sure I would return. We stayed there because we could get cruise parking which was paid in advance in O River but then we were bumped to another lot and the valets told us one thing but the parking folks told us another and the front desk person didn’t know what I was talking about and said, “talk to the valet when the come in at 6am” but in fact one was working at 1am. It was a terrible mess with the cruise ship parking supposedly at Embassy Suites. Better customer service is needed and everyone needs to understand how the cruise parking works.
