Our stay was extremely disappointing due to multiple maintenance and management issues.
For the first three days of our four-day stay, the apartment had no functioning heat while outdoor temperatures were around 10°C (50°F). The Nest thermostat was controlled exclusively by the owner, so we could not adjust the temperature ourselves. The radiators were off, and one window was jammed open, allowing cold air to enter continuously. The apartment remained cold for three nights.
The biggest issue was the lack of timely communication. We spent hours/days waiting for responses, and it wasn’t until the fourth day that we were finally given access to the thermostat. Once we could adjust it, the heating problem was resolved immediately.
There were also significant maintenance and safety concerns. The front door only locked and unlocked by reaching through the mail slot and pulling the door toward us. Both of us cut our hands on the sharp metal edges while doing this.
The unfinished, rough flooring repeatedly gave us splinters simply from walking across the floor.
These maintenance, safety, and communication issues significantly affected our stay. I hope they are addressed before future guests arrive. The pictures are significantly different than our experience.
