«The central location was very convenient and made it easy to get around. However, the soundproofing was poor, and it was quite noisy late at night and into the early morning, sometimes as late as 2 am. Light sleepers may want to keep this in mind. The room was clean and had everything we needed, but the facilities felt a bit old, and there were some stains on the carpet and bedding. Also, we were required to pay a cleaning fee at check-in and could not check in without paying it.»

«Absolutely terrible – avoid this place at all costs! This is without question the worst hotel experience of my life, and I have travelled for over 40 years. Everything about this stay was a disaster. When we arrived, we were forced to pay an additional xxx USD in cash simply because there were two of us. Together with the original booking, this stay cost us around xx.xxx NOK. For that amount, we could easily have stayed in a quality 4-star hotel in New York. The most shocking part is that my ...

15. Court Square Hotel Long Island City New York , Belvilla District 6 Formerly Sonder

«Pros: The apartment was spacious, and the air conditioning worked well. And it's located near public transportation. Unfortunately, these positives were overshadowed by a dreadful check-in experience. We arrived at 8:00 pm but didn't get into our room until 9:30 pm. We received an email asking us to pay an additional USD 150 in "property fees" on top of what we'd already paid through Hotels in order to receive the entry code. The payment link didn't work, and the first customer service agent ...
