«We loved our stay at this house in Serra Mesa. The house is well laid out with a beautiful open kitchen/common area, and a large patio with multiple outdoor seating options. Bedrooms are all tucked away down the hall away from the common area, so anyone going to bed early will not be disturbed by those still awake. «The house was perfect for our group of ten. 2 min walk to the beach. Bedroom descriptions are off...should be 1 king in master upstairs, 1 queen upstairs, 1 queen downstairs with a twin, and 4th bedroom has 3 twins. It was still perfect for us. Tub in master bath does not work, hot water handle is disconnected. Back yard is like a jungle oasis...gorgeous. Light switches are difficult to navigate. Very good pots and pans. Even with the small quirks, the home was perfect for us.»

Our introduction to the property was a unkept front patio. Recycle bin overloaded next to entrance. «Good: -Beach is a block away -Beach is gorgeous -Well stocked kitchen -Hot tub is great -Place was very clean -Master bed is very comfortable (not sure on other beds as I only slept in master). Bad: -Strong bleach smell when we arrived. Place was very clean but we had to air it out for a day. -Kitchen supplies could be better. A couple of new pans needed. -BBQ doesn’t get super hot. «The VRBO was as cute and clean as advertised. The owner was quick to respond to an issue we had. We were in San Diego to see family and could prepare a couple of meals in the fully stocked kitchen. We felt safe in the neighborhood The only negative was the busy 4 lane street in front. However, it tells you that in the information and we knew it was a busy street. I would highly recommend Sand Dollar Villa and would stay there again.»
