On this site from 1800-1900 Shakers called this beautiful farm home. raising cattle, making wooden furniture, and preaching. This was their lake and wall to partition their land from the next farm. This is a wonderful village, vibrant with artisans during the summer where you can learn crafts, buy locally made products, and participate in events. The Soda Pop room was adorable. I traveled alone for nursing clinicals and felt safe staying there. Great for Solo travel along with traveling with a family. Would stay there again if I’m ever in the area.
