Stunning building with such potential for a star of the art hotel in a fabulous historical building. Unfortunately it seems to be being run by a lack luster company with no imagination for what it could be.
The room we had was enormous but had been decorated in very low quality materials. The carpets were cheap and badly laid and the curtains were a thin cheap materials.
The Restuarant similarly had such huge potential but was thinly and poorly staffed with inexperienced and untrained staff. They did their best but were simply just not up to the job. The food was very average, not bad but average. A hotel in a property of such potential deserved much much better.
We had great expectations on what was out 46th wedding anniversary but were disappointed despite the comfortable bed
