It is part of an architectural and landscape complex in the National Forest of Buçaco. The Palace is richly furnished and decorated with several works of art, wonderful frescoes and fantastic tile panels, representing above all the Epic of the Portuguese Discoveries. Most works are by 19th century Portuguese masters such as Jorge Colaço and Carlos Reis. O Palácio Hotel do Buçaco foi construído no final do século XIX em estilo Neomanuelino. Faz parte de um complexo arquitetônico e paisagístico na Mata Nacional do Buçaco. O Palácio está ricamente mobilado e decorado com várias obras de arte, afrescos maravilhosos e fantásticos painéis de azulejos representando sobretudo a Epopeia dos Descobrimentos Portugueses. A maioria dos trabalhos é da autoria de mestres portugueses do séc. XIX como Jorge Colaço e Carlos Reis.

The hotel is in a perfect location. The bus from the main Coimbra train station literally stops in front of the hotel. Everything is a short walk away. The staff were excellent and we loved the rooftop bar with a view of the town. Overall very positive experience.

Just search in Google for Passadiços de Paiva. It is 8.7km long trail and most of the times you will walk on wooden walkway as you can see on the picture. #Porto #Portugal #bridge #ponte A ponte de D. Luiz I foi construída, no final do século XIX, sobre o rio Douro, ligando a cidade do Porto a Vila Nova de Gaia. A ponte tem dois tabuleiros. No superior circula uma linha de Metro do Porto e no inferior circulam viaturas e pedestres. Vale a pena atravessá-la a pé tanto pelo tabuleiro superior como pelo inferior. Vista magnífica sobretudo no final do dia. The D. Luiz I bridge was built at the end of the 19th century over the Douro river, linking the city of Porto with Vila Nova de Gaia. The bridge is double-deck metal arch bridge. In the upper one runs a line of Metro do Porto and in the lower circulate vehicles and pedestrians. It is worth walking across both the top and bottom decks. Magnificent view especially at the end of the day.
