«Perfect, great communication from moment of booking to depature, wonderful attention to detail made a few nights stay at The Dovecote a perfect post Christmas pre New Year tonic. Lovely walks in a calm setting. Very comfortable accomodation, everything we needed and more. Natalie gave us a warm welcome and made sure all was ok, and there at departure to wish us well. Wish we could have stayed longer but now found we will definately revisit when we need our batteries recharged! Lovely welcome ...

The Gainsborough Bath Spa

"We stayed at The Gainsborough as a family in late July, and the hotel was the perfect base for exploring Bath. The location is central, within easy walking distance of the Roman Baths, Thermae Bath Spa, the Royal Crescent and The Circus. The rooms were large, beautiful and well equipped, with plenty of space for a family. The service was outstanding throughout our stay, and breakfast was superb – Swiss-style service at its very best. The highlight was the Spa Village. The hotel has Bath's natural thermal water piped directly into the spa, and we used it twice. It was calm and beautiful, and in our view better than Thermae, which is much busier. Complimentary access for hotel guests in the morning and evening is a real bonus. Worth knowing for families: the spa has a strict 16+ age limit at all times, so children can't join. We simply took turns using the morning and evening sessions. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience Bath in style. Five stars."
