The Collection Barcelona welcomes you to this beautiful 4 bedroom apartment located in the heart of Barcelona, near plaza Catalunya. The apartment can accommodate up to 8 guests, which makes it the perfect choice for a large family or group of friends. The apartment has a huge living area that features a relaxing sofa and a flat screen TV, dining area, and fully-equipped kitchen with all the appliances.

The apartment is 5 minutes from Metro Plaza de Catalunya (Red Line L1 & Green Line L3).

The Space:
Welcome to this 140 m2 spacious and modern flat located next to the emblematic centre of Barcelona, Plaça Catalunya. Enjoy the convenience of staying in the center of Barcelona, with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and the city's best attractions. Take a short 30-minute walk to admire the beauty of La Sagrada Familia or explore the nearby Parc de la Ciutadella. The luxurious shopping street Passeig the Gracia is also just a 10-minute walk away.

We manage other apartments in the same building, really convenient for big families, groups of friends or business trips.

⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT Please note the apartment is located in a residential building, where neighbors live here all year around and it is our obligation to respect their rest. Please make sure before confirming your reservation you can adhere to the simple House Rules that are detailed below. Failure to accept and follow those will result on a monetary sanction and eviction from the property with no refund for the remaining nights.

The Neighborhood:
Dreta de l'Eixample is a neighborhood in the Eixample district of Barcelona. It includes Plaça de Catalunya, the centre of the city, and the upscale streets Rambla de Catalunya and Passeig de Gracia. It is the bourgeois neighborhood of the city, which makes the majority of its population belong to the upper class of Barcelona. Dreta de L'Eixample is one of the most luxurious neighborhoods of Barcelona.

Getting Around:
The closest metro station is Plaça Urquinaona (Lines 1 & 4).
The quickest way to go to the airport would be taking the bus "Aerobus" at Plaça Catalunya, in front of "El Corte Inlges". The cost is around 4.5€

Other Things to Note:
*** TOURIST TAX & REGISTRATION PROCESS ***

- Since 2012 the Catalan administration requires that every guest staying in a hotel room or renting an apartment in Catalunya contributes with a small fee of 6.25€ per guest (over 17 years old) per night up to a maximum of 7 nights. This cost IS NOT included on your reservation.

- National and International police demand that each guest, prior to their visit to Barcelona, would send information of their IDs or passports. This is mandatory, as it is stated in Catalan Law, and all legal touristic establishments are required to do so.

- This apartment uses a self-checkin system via the Chekin platform that will allow you to register all guests on the reservation
and pay the mandatory tourist taxes before your arrival.

Check-in time is at 17:00 hrs
Check-out is at 11:00 am (non-agreed late check-outs will incur on a 100€ charge per hour late)

*** HOUSE RULES ***

1. Parties, drugs, loud noise or any kind of disturbance towards the neighbors are completely forbidden, with a penalty of 400€ and possible eviction
2. Please observe quiet time between 10pm - 9am.
3. Respect your neighbors and be respectful in common areas (hallways, entrance, elevator, stairs).
4. Loss of keys will have a 100€ charge per key lost.
5. Smoking on interior areas will have a charge of 100€ + all cleaning fees involved.
6. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities.
7. Please leave the apartment in a respectable condition.

Not following those rules will incur on a monetary sanction and the full responsibility of any fines from the local administration or authorities.

Great location but...

The location was great and there is lots of space. Check in was smooth and communication was good. There were issues with the leaking shower doors and odor from the main hallway bath that was an ongoing problem. We were unable to get the heat to work and remained cold throughout our stay. There was one extra blanket in the entire apartment. We reached out with these issues on our first day and got an immediate response that they would have the housekeeping and maintenance staff come and look but no one came during the remaining 7 days of our stay. These were issues that were commented on in reviews that were over a year old that continue. Once these concerns are addressed it will be a great place.

Harrowing "keyless entry" process

Once we finally gained entrance (very time consuming and taxing) and were not captive in the apartment, all was fine. Accommodation was very spacious, albeit utilitarian, but all was okay.

Sounds like a great apartment but please be aware of several issues

Rented this apartment for a few days in May 2023. The apartment is in an awesome location for the various sites in Barcelona. The Picasso Museum, La Sagrada Familia, Aquarium, La Boqueria are all within walking distance. The apartment is quite large as well. However, after we first arrived the reality set in. 1. The heating and air conditioning doesn’t work. The time we were there the outside temperature at night was in the 50’s so the apartment got into the low 60’s at night. There are no extra blankets in any of the rooms, so we were unable to stay warm in order to get any sleep. 2. The shower in the master bathroom has a leak in the floor near the toilet that causes water to leak all over the bathroom floor from taking a shower making it unusable. 3. The bathroom in the center hallway smells of sewer gas coming in through the laundry area that ends up permeating throughout all the bathrooms in apartment as well as the central hallway. This makes this bathroom also unusable. It also gave my wife and son a headache because of the smell in the apartment. 4. The apartment upstairs from this unit has a family that is extremely LOUD!!!!! There was a soccer tournament going on during our stay so every night we had the pleasure of hearing their TV blasting at full volume a baby crying, kids running around, and the husband and wife arguing with each other until 3am. 5. There are no holders for the toilet paper in the bathrooms so you have to leave the rolls on the floor. 6. There

Great location!

Great location in the center of all the major sights & museums. Lots of restaurants in the neighborhood and a wonderful coffee shop at our doorstep. The only problem was the air conditioning….it was a bit warm in the apartment and did not cool down even at night. If that gets fixed, then we highly recommend this apartment!

Wonderful - A Few Issues

The place is huge, lot's of beds and in a great location. It's right at the top of the Gothic Quarter and 2 minute walk from the Metro. 5 minutes from Cortes Ingles for a great grocery store. 10 Minute walk from Placa Catalunya where the Aerobus drops off/picks up for airport transfer. The building is nice and clean, the apartment is nice and clean. It is quite large for a European flat. Quite impressive. The view from the living room is of a courtyard but gets great light. We don't actually spend much time hanging out in the apt so the view didn't bother us. The courtyard is kind of interesting to look at (other apartments and patios, etc). A few complaints: The apartment uses a virtual key. They said we "were required" to have internet to get in everyday. Thus, we had to pay for the internet everyday of our stay. There are 3 showers and bathrooms which is tremendous. However, 1 was so stinky we avoided it altogether. The other 2 showerheads had broken wall hangers and were difficult to use. They both leaked badly onto the floor. We notified the Manager and they quickly sent someone to look at them and said they were going to fix them. They were very responsive. Another small complaint, the wood floor boards were poorly installed and would slide around causing you to catch yourself a bit. May not bother everyone. We had noisy neighbors above us but that will be by chance. Overall a great place but I would check on some of the issues before booking.

Great neighborhood and value

First, the biggest benefit was the property manager. Really easy communication and flexibility, which was great. Neighborhood is great and really close to everything, 1-5 minute walk to L and major bus routes, lots of great restaurants and cafes. The unit is a good size and layout, great value for the amount of rooms/bathrooms.
