I had a very comfortable stay at Loxwood House in Accra. The property is very close to the airport — only 5 to 10 minutes away. As part of my Expedia VIP perks, I arranged a complimentary airport pickup 24 hours prior to my arrival. This involved providing a government-issued ID and confirming my arrival with the property. It was helpful not only for check-in purposes but also to ensure the pickup was ready when I landed at 8 p.m., making arrival stress-free. After that, I used Uber for the return trip, which was much cheaper than the hotel-arranged transport (less than 30 GHS).
Check-in was extremely efficient. Upon arrival, the front desk staff greeted me and completed the check-in smoothly, including setting up facial recognition access, which I used throughout my stay — very convenient and secure.
I stayed in a studio apartment. It was clean, a bit on the small side, but had all the amenities I needed. Housekeeping came in every day, and linens were changed every other day, so it truly felt like a hotel rather than a typical serviced apartment. The staff was very responsive via WhatsApp and attended to any queries efficiently — the service really works.
Overall, the location, cleanliness, and very efficient service made this a great stay. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Accra who wants a secure and comfortable place near the airport.
