One last one. Morning came and struck the clouds. The lighthouse's duty was done until the night returned.
Our first full night on the coast was at Cape St. Mary's. To research for this trip I just loaded up Google maps and started looking at every inch of the coast. I saw this beautiful lighthouse and rocky coastline and knew I had to get a long exposure here. The water crashing on the rocks was relentless and beautiful!
As waters fall the ocean floor becomes exposed. All the crustaceans, seaweed, and jagged rocks take a deep breath of air before the tide comes back in and obscures this view for a few hours.
To those lucky enough to live next to jagged coastline this might be a normal view. But, to those who travel far and seek the remote this is a dream come true. Listening to waves crash in, seals bark on the rocks, and a strong wind break across jagged rocks. I could be here forever.
