A great capture for this mature eagle. Many times, once the fish is caught, it will be stolen from another savvy eagle mid flight, or it will land in a tree with its prize only to accidentally drop it to the ground. Last eagle pic for sure:)

Just off of Credit Island paddling up-stream, the Mississippi River offers an urban/suburban experience on the water. Other than water sports, this area has a very nice bike/walk path that follows the river right into Davenport.
This dam is located on the Mississippi River between LaClaire and Bettendorf, Iowa. It is a fantastic place to photograph wildlife. It is a very popular place in the winter months (especially January) when people come from all over the world to photograph bald eagles.
Nahant Marsh is a restored nature preserve right off of Interstate 280 in southwest Davenport. It is a great place to spend the day hiking and enjoying nature. This beautiful Baltimore oriole was in the wooded area near the pond.
