The little town was quaint and quiet and if we’d arrived a week later, more businesses would’ve been open for the summer season. The host was easy to communicate with and entry was easy too. «All was good. Except shower in tub stopped working and didn’t get fixed for us to use. Too far from city. Took 40 minutes each way. Took time away from our visit with family. Nice neighborhood quiet and neat. Nice house clean and roomy. Beds were good . Could use some easy chairs in living room. Kitchen chairs were metal hard on butt to sit. «Hosts were great, helpful and responsive. The Home is amazingly historic and so certainly has its limits, but it should not mean it cannot be warm and comfortable with decor and furnishings. There is no HVAC upstairs so space heaters were fussy to maintain and keep on with timers, etc. There is only two lamps in the home, so all rooms rely on ceiling fan lights - which are effective but do not allow a more relaxed evening or early morning atmosphere. «Small farm town feel. Nice job renovating the location. If you’re looking at cooking or doing in the kitchen, they have everything you need there. Lighting in the bedroom throughout the night. It is pretty light with the street lights as there are no shades so if your used to sleeping in dark rooms that will not happen here. Very historic building we were not there very much other than to just sleep.»
