«Everything was very good....the room was lovely...the girls working the evening shift were really, really good.....and my dinner was truly excellent.... My only complaint is the music that was playing in the evening.....as much as I love AC/DC, I think something softer would be more appreciated by the folk having dinner and drinks. Nice to see dogs are well catered for !!!! I'll definitely be back!»

«The breakfast was lovely and plentiful, whilst the parking was adequate as there were few guests. The room could of benefitted from having lampshades on the wall lights, there was a rouge hair in the bath and the dressing gowns were washed with too much detergent, thus not as soft as you might expect for five star accommodation, At the time of booking a table, the menu differed considerably from that seen online, in addition to the price having been increased. «We had a wonderful two night stay at the Linthwaite House Hotel. Very nice and attentive staff, comfortable rooms and a beautiful location. Upon our late arrival the welcoming staff prepared sandwiches and drinks for us in the lovely lounge area even though the kitchen was closed. We tried the tasting menu which was delicious. The stay exceeded our expectations and we will definitely come again!»

«A lovely apartment right in the centre of Bowness-On-Windermere. The accommodation was spotless, cleaning spray, washing up liquid and cloths were provided. The bed was lovely and comfortable. People have mentioned the stairs up to the apartment. They caused us no problem but if people have mobility problems I can understand they might be a problem. If we return to the area we would stay here again. I am glad I didn’t book somewhere in Windermere, this was five minute walk to the lake. »

«Hydro hotel occupies an old building with spacious hallways and rooms. No elevators. The rooms do nor have the standard that we have come to expect today, but they are clean and everthing is working. All personell is service minded. On the positive side I was positively surprised by the quality of the food served at dinner: excellent!. »

«We found this hotel and it’s an absolute gem! Nestled above Lake Windermere, it has a lovely atmosphere and comfy rooms. We had both dinner and breakfast there and they were both tasty and to a high standard. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We would definitely stay there again»
