The property is clean, well-appointed and we like the location, which is close to The Cheviots for hiking, has great golf in the area (The Roxburghe, Goswick, Linden Hall for example) and lots of interesting places to visit. In fact we always come away wishing we had more time there! Thoroughly recommended - we certainly intend to return.»

«A very lovely, light house with a nice sense of space. The staircase with the bathroom to the left and rooms to the right with lovely big windows was really special when used to living in a one bedroom flat in London. The town is beautiful and it's wonderful being so close to everything. The people are friendly and Northumberland is just magical. We cant wait to return one day.»

«A Lovely little cottage with all the tech you need in great location and our own gardener (Ted). We had a great time in a great little town. Only teeny issue was that Master bedroom is up very steep stairs so we snuggled up in the other bedroom: otherwise can’t fault a thing. Helen was really easy to contact and enable access.»

«We love this part of the Northumberland coast and visit regularly, and we did have a good time. I do think this cottage is overpriced for the quality of accommodation. The kitchen and main bedroom are very nice but the rest is a little tired. The furniture is miss matched flat pack and the bedding is of poor quality. One of the sofas is very uncomfortable (kids said like their student digs) the curtains are far too thin and don’t keep the cold out, we had to buy a lot of wood to keep the lounge ...

«Fabulous cottage in a quiet setting. Airy and light & welcoming. Nice big dining kitchen with (more than!) everything we needed. View from sitting room over the hills was lovely. A great position to trek out from - so near to Cragside National Trust, which is a must! We also visited Wallington & Gibside NT & Holy Island. Thankyou for entrusting us with your home from home - we will definitely be back to explore more of this beautiful area.»

«The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. It would be nice to have a few basic essentials such as salt and pepper and hand soap upon arrival to get things ...

«Stayed fir 3 nights. With 10 adults. Lovley big house. Plently of room Comfortable beds. Some paintwork a.bit.shabby which was a shame. Only down side was it stated a clockroom i thought that.meant a downstairs toilet but it was just a place eto hang coats. This was difficult as some of the party was eldery and found the stairs difficult to navigate, butmon the whole we had a great.time.»

«The house is in a great location for accessing the Coastal Path- north and south there are great walks. Angela is a helpful host and the check in process was very easy. Unlike many other local properties we were able to book a two night stay which was great for us Our bed was very comfortable Lovely seat in the front garden for morning sun and sea views. The back garden has some pretty flowers and is a great place for late afternoon sun when the front is in shade, but we didn’t have any garden ...
