The location near the black sand beach was fantastic and we loved the ocean and turtles. It is a quiet and peaceful place to visit. The unit was very comfortable and clean. «The only regret i have about our stay is that with all the exploring we did at the volcano, we really didn’t have time to linger on the deck. The outside deck was worth every penny of the rental….surrounded by trees, lots of seating, a firepit and the background sounds of birds and frogs. It felt like we were in a treehouse. The house was well stocked and perfect for our needs. Thank you!»

«Was very clean and feels secluded from any nearby houses which is great. Owner was very accommodating since we had some last second changes. Had a little trouble with the power going out upstairs when running multiple heaters, the pump for the air mattresses only had an a car power adapter and we had a lot of guests so the hot water ran out on some of us but overall great experience, would recommend for larger groups.»

«Beautiful setting in a remote location. The condominium was very comfortable, almost like home. Wish we could have stayed longer. If you are going to stay at Colony I, do your grocery shopping before arriving. Closest grocery store is a 30 min. drive. Same with dining. Be mindful that there are few restaurants near the property, and after 6 PM it's a 30 min drive minimum. »

«During our short stay we were able to visit Volcanoes National Park, the Green Sand Beach close to South Point, go night snorkeling with Manta Rays in Kona, visit several beaches, and even drive up Mauna Kea on our last day in Big Island (night flight) - we could not have achieved this and more without staying in such a perfectly placed location, one with unique landscape on its doorstep (the local history of lava flows was truly fascinating).
