«Excellent hotel in a great location. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was not able to have breakfast as I needed to leave early, but the staff were great and sent me on my way with a packed lunch.
Couldn't recommend highly enough!»

«First impression of the hotel at check-in was exceptional- Stephen was very welcoming and friendly, and we knew it was going to be an incredible stay! In fact, encounters with the staff from bartender, restaurant and housekeeping were all friendly, engaging, and positive.
The location was serene and relaxing with incredible 360-degree views of mountains and pastures! Inside, there were several cozy areas to relax and unwind. I would also recommend booking a dinner reservation for fine dining as ...

«3 nights in late July. Hotel is a great place to stay to experience the Lake District, not far from Ambleside but remote enough to feel like you are really in nature.
Staff and breakfast were excellent.
Walk up to Stickle Tarn was a good test with a couple of scrambly bits but well worth it once you got there.»

«Really comfortable, quiet and clean bedroom, the bathroom was on the small side and not as nice as the rest of the room (still nice enough). The staff were friendly but seemed very busy so they just gave us the key and pointed us in the direction of the outbuiling where our bedroom was located. If you have heavy luggage or struggle with stairs our room would not be for you as there were some very steep stairs.»

«It has 4 Start rating but unclear why it’s that high.
Checking in, staff member didn’t seem particularly interested. Had to prompt guidance on how to get to my room.
Dinner was fine. Nothing spectacular.
Breakfast was fine.
Rooms are dated, bed was way too soft. Probably old.
All just pretty average and not 4 star.»
