«First, the host’s first language is not English, so communication was very difficult. It was hard to understand each other whenever we had questions or needed help.
The room had no air conditioning at all—only a small fan. The mattress was extremely hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to sleep. We were also told not to speak loudly because it might disturb other guests. There was no TV or any entertainment in the room either.

«The hotel is a bit dated but some upgrades have been done like adding lots of receptacles. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything going on in the hallway. The location was good, close to lots of stores. There is no breakfast available and the restaurant on site opens at 10am, so be sure to grab some goodies. The kitchenette is a nice touch to cover that.»

«I stayed one night and had a fabulous stay! The staff was so nice and welcoming, and my room was really spacious and comfy. The hotel is historic and beautiful with lots of flowers outside. Great location for a walking tour of Victoria!»
