«Purcombe Farmhouse is a gem. It provides comfortable and very well equipped accommodation, suitable for all ages - our family group were aged 66 down to 1yr and we all had a wonderful week there. «This is not the Ritz - but there are some really good points - it's lovely and quiet - so a good sleep was easy. Take your own towels - ones provided were not great - I would also say take your own bedding. One major for a couple is the double is on a mezz and the toilet is down stairs - this didn't effect me as I was on my own so slept in the single room downstairs. Owner is lovely - and my stay in Sherborne very nice. Lovely place.»

«Nice property but very moldy inside. When my son entered he began counting spiders. He stopped at 15 but estimated that there must’ve been 30 spiders in the stairwell and main hallway. Now I like spiders and would never kill one, but I realize that’s not for everyone. I would trap them and put them outside. There was no WiFi. Zero, we connected to the router but that had no connection to the Internet. Also there was very limited cell phone service, so mobile hotspot was spotty. We were ...

«We really enjoyed our stay. The ground floor is perfect for a large group with a well equipped kitchen, cozy lounge and a dining room which easily seats 14/15 adults. The bedrooms are nicely furnished and nearly all with en-suites. The house is well located within easy reach of Dorchester, Bridport and the coast. Highly recommended.»

«We had a lovely stay, the property was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The location for us was great, if you like walking then highly recommend. Within 40 minutes drive there is a large number of places to visit and the village has everything you need. Pub within a couple of minutes walk as well as shops for supplies. Would happily stay here again.»

«Nice place and have been twice now but I have to be honest that I was shocked at damp and mould on walls/ceiling and around patio doors in back bedroom. No problems anywhere else in property with damp. If this property has a cleaner coming in to turn it around then I think they need to be spoken too, as when you look close it’s not great. I would return if things improved as it a lovely setting and location»

«The cottage is in a beautiful, rural location but within quick access of Bridport and the coast. It was a good base to explore along the coastline and inland. The property had everything we needed, was comfortable and very clean. The owners are nearby and very responsive if we needed anything. Thank you for a good stay!»

«Excellent property which was spotless, warm and cosy. A brill time was had by all 8 adults. We went to the black dog in Broadmayne New Year’s Eve. Everything we could wish for. Didn’t want to come home but all good things come to an end. Would recommend and definitely visit again.»

«The cottage is amazing. So well equipped, cosy and clean. The bathroom is beautiful. It’s in an ideal area to explore Dorset but equally we had a lovely cosy afternoon/evening when it was wet.
