«No hot water during entire stay, double bed was only 120 cm and so soft that it felt like sleeping on a waterbed, the room had an odd old smell»

«It was a lovely place to stay while in Dorset. It’s an 8 minute drive to the main Weymouth beach promenade. 36 minutes from Durdle Door, 46 minutes from Sherborne Castle. The breakfast is really good and we left with full tummies ready for an adventure. However you do have to share a table with other guests at breakfast. If that is not your thing, maybe it’s not for you.»

«On arrival the reception was awful with staff unable to access records but their attitude was very off hand towards us. The room was clean but badly set up. «Stayed the night in the converted skittle ally - Pre-Booked a table for Dinner days before, Service was really poor - Left for 35 Minutes with no one attempting to take order, had to go to bar to complain - staff more interested in chatting with locals then serving the tables - food was dropped on the table, at no point did anyone ask if the food was ok, left feeling like we were not welcome - a complete shame because the food we did receive was amazing ! clearly a great kitchen team, let down ...

«The Old Bakehouse was a lovely homely place to stay, and the village of Colyton is in a pretty and convenient location to visit several attractions in the area, go to the beach, cycle or hike. Fiona and Steve were excellent, very helpful, and hospitable hosts. «What a beautiful hotel. I stayed in a superior double which was very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of storage space, fluffy towels, plenty of hot water and excellent tea and coffee, biscuits and water. The owners were very friendly and made me feel most welcome. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was delicious. You would never go hungry.
