«We absolutely loved the hotel! You walk up the entrance of the hotel and it's open to the ocean, great breeze coming off the water, beautiful hotel! Great staff, very, very comfortable king sized bed. Slept very well! Very quaint hotel that was close to a couple of restaurants, which were phenomenal. We will definitely be back. »

«Despite previous good reviews, this hotel is sadly currently a scam. We arrived to check in Sunday July 13th to find it was closed «for refurbishment». We had booked months in advance and have been continuously reachable via phone/hotels.com. And yet Alea made no attempts to warn us in advance. Instead we were told nonchalantly on arrival that we had been «relocated» to a different hotel where the room we were offered and facilities turned out to be below the standard we had already paid Alea ...

Casa Altamar has personality, nice design, beautiful wood finishing/furniture, woven rugs and lampshades, it feels connected to the location. The place is spotless, rooms are cleaned every day. The landscaping is naturalistic and very well done, exotic flowers and palms moving in the breeze.
