Fairways and Bluewater Boracay

10/10 Utmerket

"Fantastisk opphold og hyggelige ansatte. Litt synd at Ventana-bassenget var under oppussing ettersom det var noe vi hadde gledet oss til, men det gikk helt fint siden vi fikk brukt den private stranden de hadde godt. Hotellet ligger på en stor eiendom, så man må ta shuttle hver gang man vil ut til inngangen, og deretter e-trike hvis man vil utforske øya. Jeg vil derfor anbefale dette hotellet dersom du er ute etter en avslappet ferie ved bassenget/ på stranden i solen."

Four Points by Sheraton Boracay

"The rooms are spacious with good standard, what you would expect from a Sheraton hotel. Maintenance can be packing a bit when you notice the occasional wallpaper falling off, etc. Breakfast was really good though, the best I’ve had in the Philippines catering for both asian and western clients. I had an issue i. The first night though, which I’m not at all happy with how it was handled. Upon check in, I realized the aircon in my room was stuck at 13C, so maintenance came in and suggested to turn it off, as it would «Get back to normal temperarures later». That never happened. On top of that, the HVAC system was making very loud noises, even with the aircon turned off, I measured almost 50db, while ideal for sleeping is below 30db (whitenoise is 20db). I complained about it as I wasn’t able to fall asleep and the night staff had no interest in doing much, neither the maintenance staff. I did not sleep the whole first night, and had to wait until 8:10am for the hotel manager to arrive to solve the situation (he was late to work). His solutions were also less than satisfactory. It took him about 2h30 to manage something. He presented me with a room that was smaller than mine, and I said I would not accept anything less than what I paid for - I was exhausted and in the end, he managed to find me a similar room, but he should’ve at least upgraded me after all (which I requested to no avail). I only got a small credit to use at the restaurant. There are no sunbeds at the beach."

"Dette passer ikke til et 5 stjerners hotell. Frokosten var elendig med kun svart kaffi som stod på en kokeplate. Ikke smør, ikke tomater og veldig lite grønnsaker. Dårlig organisering av bordene ute, som ble tatt av andre mens man forsyner seg med mat. Bassengområdet på taket var flott, men det ble ødelagt av at de spilte altfor høy musikk. De ansatte var veldig vennlige, men de manglet opplæring."

"Staff is nice and friendly, and tries to make your stay which also helps. However, some of our luggage got damaged on the way to the hotel. When asked how they would handle it, the staff tried to blame it on the third party of transport, and saying they will contact us after we left. If they manage to find a solution, I might update this review, but until then it was not a place I would recommend unless you want an OK location beach-wise and don’t care about luggage or breakfast."
