«This is a lovely cottage in the heart of a residential area. Close to Santana Row. Clean, neat, and a well stocked kitchen. Pet friendly and quiet. The hosts are kind and communication is quick and easy. The shower was a bit of a challenge and some comedic relief to the event (I turned the wrong knob and gave the entire room a shower). «Our stay at this home was terrible. The listing claims it’s a 2-bedroom, but one of the rooms is just a converted garage, making the layout dark and uncomfortable.The biggest issue was the ant infestation in the kitchen. Ants were all over the floors, walls and an outlet near the counter. We left our takeout on the counter while settling in, only to find it covered in ants when we went to eat. We had to throw away our entire meal. The owner showed no remorse and offered no reimbursement.The ...

«the cleanliness of the home needs improvement as we felt like it wasn’t “ready” to be rented out. the floors were sticky. it wasn’t vacuumed or mopped. the outside/backyard area had a lot of trash and the bins were full. the power in the house shut off and the heater didn’t work throughout the night and we were freezing. it was unfortunate that the host wasnt replying until the next morning when we were checking out.»
