«Dan was super nice and accommodating. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel, look elsewhere. It you want a large, clean farmhouse, this place is for you. Being a working family farm, expect to see a tractor or two going in and out. We really enjoyed sitting on the wrap around porch with a book watching the cows. «We came to do some biking in the area. I was concerned we had booked too far from Lanesboro, but it was perfect. The drive is beautiful from there Houston has a really nice bike trail, too! We visited several towns in the area and this home was a great place to come back to each day. We stayed our trip at the Houston Visitor Center, since we got to town early. «Highly recommend!!! This was our second time staying here - we absolutely adore this property! Truly a little piece of heaven in SE Minnesota! Our children love the freedom to run in the large yard + play on the swing set, while the adults relax on the swing or patio. The house is a farm house that has been brought back to life. «The house and land are amazing. The woods are filled with native plants and flowers with miles of hiking trails. The house is vintage and comfortable for modern living. The yard is open and has several comfortable seating areas including hammocks and a firepit. The animals are gentle and friendly for kids to interact with. The owners are friendly, helpful, and love their job as hosts! This is our second visit and we will be returning as often as we can!»
