«We did not have a good experience for the high price we paid. The communication with the manager was not great and there was no person at the guest house to check in with. The room was tiny..absolutely no place to put 3 large suitcases except on the floor. The room had a chemical smell that did make our friend ill. We had to leave early as she thought it was pneumonia but it was from the chemical smell..she is handicapped. We had to climb in the window to get back in after getting take away for ...

«Great place you don’t get to see the owners. The shower needs looking at as the usual hotel leaking to the head of shower minor issue to sort. I would recommend replacing the TVs in the rooms another small issue but modern TVs in hotel rooms is a game changer and very important. Parking for 5 cars safely anymore it needs to be shared parking with friends. I over heard an American telling their friend to park right up to my bumper I am glad they ignored this… as would not be impressed with such ...

«Room was very clean and spacious Bed and pillows were very comfortable Settee also in room so could sit comfortably Plenty of hot drink sachets Breakfast was unavailable during our stay so unable to comment- we were informed though Toilet cistern was slow fill and quite noisy Would stay again»

«Lovely location convenient to the ferry terminal and town centre. The host Caroline was very friendly and welcoming. Little extras left in the fridge were an added bonus and much appreciated.»

«We stayed at Sugar Boat for two nights and had a wonderful experience! We had booked a family room (for three people) and had the top floor to ourselves. A beautiful room, plenty of space for us, very nicely furnished - lovely colours, comfartble beds, tea and coffee facilities. Beautiful and modern bathroom. Breakfast in the restaurant was also very nice - good food and nice and friendly staff! We felt most welcome, and hope to come back at some point.»

«The big nitpick for is lack of parking. Unless you're strictly staying overnight and leaving first thing in the morning you have to pay. It's kind of cheap but it's the principle of already paying for a room.»

«When we realized we would be later than 6pm to check in I was told that the reception would “be quite cross”. Then I got an email saying they want to put their small children to bed…we were only 15 mins late…shameful if you’re running an Inn… also the front patio is covered in dead plants in broken pots. 15 mins work would have it tidied up»
