The Ranald Apartments

Oban

«Not worth the cost. The bathroom fan wasn’t working and the shower drain needs unclogging. I had to stop the water for it to drain or it would have over flown the base. The stove light didn’t work. There was no toaster. No facial tissue/kleenex. The dish sponge was used (not good for someone with food allergies like me). There were only two glasses. And be warned, if you are on the top floor like we were, the sun shines on the sliding door all afternoon and into the evening, making the place ...

«We loved it here. The decor was on point. Little disappointed check out was 10am but that's just because we wanted to spend more time there. Excellent location for the town and nearby shops etc. 10 out of 10 for kerplunk being available! Thanks!»

Loch Awe Luxury Eco Cabins

«Such a unique place to stay, and exactly what I wanted. It’s built on stilts into the side of a hill, just above a fabulous Inn. Walking distance (400m ish) from Lochawe train station. It’s not a hotel, so for the nightly cost if you want a hotel this isn’t it. But the view and location if you want to be at peace, in nature with the most incredible views and backdrop, this is it. Very comfortable beds, quiet, fantastic warm shower. Everything we needed (and I’d packed things expecting it to be ...

«Great location as a base around Loch Lomond and a fabulous spot to stop before heading into the highlands. Nicely tucked away and surrounded by trees and wildlife. Great inside space that the pictures don't do justice.»

«So much potential for this place as the location is beautiful! Dockside location and a very quiet site. Unfortunately, there were many negatives during our stay: - door did not lock, no response to my phone calls, emails or messages so we slept with a bench against the door all night. I found a staff member in the morning who tried fixing the lock but said the wood was rotten - stains on carpets - large tear on couch - shower door couldn’t close so leaked ok floor - cracks in sink and an ...

«Liked the quirkiness of the cottage. Like the art work around the rooms, liked they left us milk on arrival. Good instructions on how to get there. The road surface was pretty rough and you had to be very careful when parking. Didnt like the lack of lights at night We arrived when it was dark and the outside light wasnt working made it difficult to see the path had to use torch on my phone. The cottage was small but nice, it was clean and linens smelled freshly washed. It was very quiet. The ...
