3. Southampton Retreat for 12 Near Waterfront

Southampton City Centre

«Avoid this property at all costs. We stayed during the highest recorded temperature days in the UK. Not only did our host forget to text us the code to get in, there was no air conditioner and not a single fan in the entire unit. We waited outside, in record breaking heat and my husband had to call and email multiple times to get the code to get in. The house didnt have a single fan which blows my mind. We had ten people, some ended up sleeping on the floor due to the heat. Some were putting wet ...

«I wouldn't call this place luxurious. There was a lot of scuffs in the walls and the couches werent comfortable. I asked for a late check-out and they allowed it. Very greatful. They didn't tell the housekeeping who showed up 15 minutes before regular check-out. That followed with a phone call asking if we were still going to check-out late. Housekeeping peaked into the windows about 30 minutes before our check-out. »

12. Vibrant 4-Bedroom House With Parking & Garden

Southampton

«To describe the property as ‘vibrant’ is a complete misnomer. It did indeed have enough beds for seven but the dining table (if you can call it that) was barely able to take four. The seats outside were four sturdy and collapsible chairs that did just that even under the weight of our eleven year old. The shower pole fell apart with little provocation. We were very disappointed to put it mildly.»

13. Moderne, romslig leilighet

Banister's Park

«Communication after booking with Vrbo was awful. Heard nothing from Vrbo when I called they told me that the property manager did not use the Vrbo system for communicating with the customer. Spoke with letting agent but access documentation didn't arrive till the day before we were due to start our journey so no time for pre-planning. The property was spacious. When we arrived all heating was turned off and there was nothing explaining how to get it working. We discovered that the boiler was ...
