«I had such a lovely stay here. It may be a modest B&B, but it was absolutely excellent, and as a solo female traveller I felt completely safe, comfortable and genuinely looked after.
My single room was spotless and had everything I needed, including a lovely en-suite and a big window. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, and even the little details were thought of — when I arrived, the owner brought me a bottle of cold water, which was such a lovely welcome.

«The hotel is only about a year old so the building and all the fittings and furniture are in as-new condition. The staff were all cheerful and a delight to work with. The food was good both breakfast and the evening meals.
The location right on the foreshore is attractive with lovely views of the sunrise but it is well away from the centre of Torquay. When I arrived Google maps had the location 300 metres too close to the main part of Torquay so you need to check this before setting a route.»

Great location, just a stone’s throw from the main beach in Torquay. The flat had all the amenities we needed for cooking, which was a plus.
Unfortunately, there were a few things that let the stay down. The dining table only seats two people, despite the flat accommodating four. This meant our children had to sit at the table while we ate standing at the kitchen counter.

«Julie and Gary were absolutely lovely and super helpful. They helped heat up milk for our little one and were friendly the hole time. I would say I think personally found the mattresses slightly uncomfortable, may be a preference. The only true negative, so the reason it was not 5 stars for us was the shower was weak, so couldn't just stand underneath it, had to hold it over the body part to clean. Bodde på Somerville i 5 netter fra 22 til 27 juni 2013. En herskapsvilla som er omgjort til. et 9 roms gjestehus. Interiøret er holdt i en gammel kolonistil, tydelig preget av de opprinnelige eierne. Alle faciliteter på rommene. Deilig frokost i avslappende atmosfære. Kort vei til sentrum med båthavnen. Veldig fornøyd med oppholdet.
