«Really beautiful house, renovated to a high standard, and retaining lots of original character and charm. Really well equipped, very comfortable, and set in a brilliant location for walking around the cathedral, the castle, exploring the historic little streets, doing some shopping and trying out the independent cafes and bars. Would point out that the ceiling height is quite low at the sides in the top bedroom as it’s in the attic space, so any taller people would need to be aware of that, but ...

«The house is exceptionally well presented, top quality finish and very comfortable. Everything needed is provided and the grade 2 listed building has been very well refurbished although the stairs can be a little tricky if you've got any mobility deficiencies or you are of advanced years.»

«Overall the property was clean,moden and had everything needed for our stay.However,the pull out bed was not v user friendly and uncomfortable which was disappointing!I think the lodge was catered more for 6 people particularly the sofa area,not enough seats.There was also a issue with the back door as in it was stiff to open.We enjoyed our stay and loved relaxing in the hot tub,many thanks»

«Was surprised how very near the main road it was and the parking spot was rather awkward. The ad makes it look rather village-y where in fact it is really urban. That said, it is a lovely house, well kept and we enjoyed our stay. Very near everything you need.»

«The property is lovely. We had a look around when we got there and its spacious with plenty of storage. There was tea and sugar in the cupboards as well as a comprehensive welcome pack including a map and the menus of nearby takeaways. The beds are comfy, the sofa is comfy, the shower was good, theres also a downstairs bathroom whcih was great as we were 3 people. Would definitely stay here again.»

«Aldi Morrisons and McDonald's are a couple of mins drive. Restaurants and shops 10 mins slow walk but car park also near by shops. Comfortable stay, we used as a base for biking 15 miles round Rutland water. Double bedroom on ground floor with toilet by the door. Then another double on top floor with ensuite shower room. A twin room and a bunk bed room with main bath room and over bath shower. Very good for large families. We didn't use the kitchen because chippy was also good near by. »

«Stayed for a few days after Christmas. Ages from 7 to 68, and all felt comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Able to cook large roast dinner. Smaller oven a little difficult to access but can be done. Hot tub loved by all. Microwave, games machine, large Tv all available. Large enclosed garden. Owner reply’s to enquiries almost immediately. Excellent service. Thank you very much.»

«We had a fabulous stay, the property was beautiful, very clean, and lovely decor. ideally situated for site seeing and found a lovely Italian cafe over the road, the owner was so nice. The only negative was there was not enough pots (serving dishes) for nibbles etc. everything else was perfect. Would definitely visit again. »

«Hen party of 18 so this house was perfect for the occasion. Owners communication was excellent, very helpful, greeted on arrival and only had to call if any problems. We managed to make use of the pool and hot tub. Good location , local pubs in walking distance and shops. Only down side was we had to buy washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc.. house could of done with just little stuff like that. Overall lovely house and would reccomend .»
