«Beautiful and sparkling clean rooms set in a really wonderful piece of land. The photos don't do it justice! My one complaint would be that we had heard so much about the wonderful breakfasts and were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the more extensive menu is exclusively offered to people stopping in for breakfast only. We would have happily paid to upgrade from our free breakfast! »

«This stay was one of the higlights of our vacation in Costa Rica. We never write reviews, but now we just have to. This family run bed & breakfast was magical. They were all so Nice, warm, welcoming and always willing to help. We even missed our taxi going to a coffee plantation and the owners son drove us there himself. It was like being part of a big loving family. Speaking of the son, he makes food for the restaurant… and oh my god. I really do hope Gordon Ramsay go here and taste his food. ...

«Very friendly staff, that really wants you to have a great stay! The room was nice and clean, and the B&B in general is very nice and charming. Even though we had a car we preferred to walk to the city centre (approx 400m), because it is really close (but still the B&B is just far enough away to make sure that it is nice and quiet). If you want a nice place to stay for a few nights and do not need it to be super fancy, this is the perfect place!»

«Here’s a sharper complaint: > This property is a family-run B&B, not a 4-star hotel. With only 6 rooms, the experience was far below what was advertised and what the Expedia/Google listings led us to expect. Our room had an extremely loud creaking floor, which made it feel cheap and poorly maintained. It may be acceptable for some travelers, but for the price, it was not worth it and definitely not the upscale stay we were looking for. »

«For what we paid, we were pleased with the hotel. The pool is ok, breakfast was really good, choice of American or Tican. Plenty of juice and coffee (you could have multiple cups) The room was ok, clean. Well equipped, it had some shelving to unpack onto, which lots of places don’t have. «My family's stay at Nafre House over the winter holiday was wonderful. The bed and breakfast is a perfect location for anyone visiting the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve and the surrounding area, the rooms were spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the staff were unfailingly gracious and helpful, in both English and our attempts at Spanish. They even brought us a New Year's Eve gift. We would recommend Nafre House to anyone visiting this beautiful area. »
