«We stayed in April to experience the eclipse. The house is right on Moose River. In warmer weather we definitely would have taken advantage of the access as well as the firepit. Close to snowmobile trails and plenty of summer time activities. Would highly recommend. Communication with owner was excellent.»

«Plenty of room (and more to spare) with our family of five: 2 adults and 3 children (ages 3, 8, 10). The lake house was clean and well taken care of inside. Essentials like dishwashing pods, laundry soap, paper products, towels, and shower toiletries were stocked for us. We loved the wood beams and open floor plan. «LOVE this house and location. Amazing home and fully stocked for any kind of meal or family gathering. Only 2 concerns I had from this stay. 1. The mattresses could really be updated with med form memory foam. (10 inches +) which would make the sleeping so much better. The mattresses are really soft and uneven which is easily addressed with the memory foam toppers?) 2. The Wi-Fi speed was way slower this year. I could not get more than 8mb download and 3mb upload. «It served the purpose...a place to sleep and shower. Check in was super easy...no keys to lose, you just need the code. Cute set up however the carpets are light colored and look really dirty in the living room area and the unit had a very musty/mildew smell I'm guessing due to the lack of an exhaust fan in the bathroom. The a/c unit gives off a similar odor when turned on. Luckily the weather was good so we just opened the windows but you could still smell it.»

However, after staying at Moosehead Lake waterfront rentals for the past decade, it's overpriced for what it is and the customer service was atrocious. It's managed by Vacasa, which means when you ask questions, you get a response from someone at a call center who has no local knowledge of the property besides reading the same listing you already have access to. They have never been to the property or the Moosehead ...
