King Bed Private Suite - Seattle North Ballard

Located in northern Ballard, this private suite has been renovated with modern upgrades and decorated with a unique chess theme. The suite is the south side of a family house, totally separated by an internal wall from the rest of the house.

The space
This cozy room is located in Seattle's residential neighborhood with quiet streets one block from the bus line terminal that goes straight to downtown Seattle. Away from busy downtown on a quiet street. Meanwhile, attractions are within easy reach. Perfect for business travelers, tourists and couples.

The room is totally separated by an internal wall from the rest of the house in a beautiful home in Ballard. Enjoy your own private entrance with self check-in from the yard. You will have complete privacy inside the guest suite.

The room includes one king-size bed that will have you sleep like a champion and a full bath with a bathtub. This room can comfortably fit 1-2 people for 1-3 nights.

As you enter the gated side entry, you’ll find a patio with lounge chairs and table. The patio area is perfect for a quiet morning to enjoy a warm cup of coffee or read. It’s also great for evening drinks and a meal. A large shared backyard with lounge chairs and tables are available next to the patio, to create a memorable stay for our guests.

When you enter the room, there are no stairs inside or out, and you walk into a south facing room with 4 windows filled with natural lighting. You can snuggle into the king-size bed as you login and watch your favorite movies and shows on smart TV.

No kitchen access, but no problem - coffee maker, freezer/refrigerator combo, microwave and electric kettle await your arrival.

If you’re on a work vacation, you’ll have the perfect accommodations to meet your needs. Our space is equipped with fast (100 Mbps) Wi-Fi network extending throughout the room. A desk and 2 chairs are also located within the room.

The room is located on a quiet street close to hiking trails to the waterfront Carkeek park, the most vibrant Ballard bars and restaurants and walkable to grocery store, cafe and pizza.

5 min drive to Swanson Nursery, with 5-acre circa-1924 nursery for sustainable gardening, classes & seminars, plus a beautiful gift store & a cafe.
10 min drive to the heart of the most vibrant and walkable Ballard, bars, restaurants, night life, Golden Garden Beach.
15 min drive to the Woodland Park Zoo.
15 min drive to Northgate light rail station that goes straight to the airport.
20 min drive to University of Washington.
25 min drive to Lumen Field Seahawks games
25 min drive to the heart of Seattle Downtown, Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, Aquarium, Pike Market.

It’s highly recommended to rent a car if seeking to explore areas outside of Ballard.

- The door to the rest of the house will remain locked.
- The rest of the house is not available to guests.
- The cooling and heating are centrally controlled through a wall mount remote in the main house. Please feel free to message me and I would be happy to adjust for you.
- For tall guests, note the ceilings are: 7.4 ft / 2.26m.
- You might or might not see us throughout your stay, but If you need anything, we are just a text message away.

The bed was so comfortable, and the little touches made it extra special — from the handwritten note to the fresh flowers and even the thoughtful parting gift. A week in Seattle

Our hosts were wonderful! We were traveling for more than a month - spending one week at this property. It was great to have a comfortable king bed to sleep in after long days exploring the city. We had enough room to store all of our stuff, the washer and dryer were easy to use and the bathroom was big enough for both of us. The location was great as well, close to the freeway, parks and grocery. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay at adorable property and attentive host!

This is likely the best VRBO we’ve ever stayed at. It was so cute and thoughtfully designed. Shuang met us and helped us use the door lock and checked back on us to be sure we had all we needed. The bed was comfy, there was plenty of space, and so many hospitable touches were included! There were eye masks on each side of the bed, toothbrushes and toothpaste, granola bars, a welcome note, a goodbye note with a fun pad of paper shaped like the state of Washington. Many other things that told us she had anticipated every possible need. She was gracious and kind and we will stay here again when we return to Seattle. Highly recommend.

Above and beyond

The property is exactly as advertised: a private guest house attached to the main house, with a driveway parking spot, a soft King bed, nice bathroom and shower (low-ish water pressure but plenty hot), and a washer/dryer unit (hugely valuable to us in the middle of a two-week trip). Small space but had everything we needed. Shuang was an excellent host. She greeted us upon arrival even though we showed up after dark, left us warm welcome materials like a handwritten note and flowers and chocolates, and responded quickly to messages asking about lowering / raising the thermostat (controlled from the main house - host was very accommodating). There is a lovely backyard with chairs and shade which we would have used more if we hadn’t been out exploring all day. Quiet and safe neighborhood close to many nice sites and restaurants, which Shuang recommended in a comprehensive list. Certainly one of the kindest and sweetest hosts we’ve ever had. Would highly recommend!

Attentive hosts and clean accommodations

I stayed here alone most of the time and, as a senior woman, felt very secure with the family in the home. They also were very responsive and provided extras, such as towels and utensils when requested. If visually or physically challenged , please be cautious about the small step between the bedroom and bathroom, but otherwise easy access. The area seemed quiet and off the street parking is available. As advertised, there is no kitchen, but a small microwave and refrigerator provide some ability to have breakfasts and sandwiches or warm prepared food. Aside from tne bed, folding chairs provide the seating. The washer and drier works well and the mattress and bedding were nice.
