«The property is lovely. Despite being told it was heated, the pool was not heated. (I did not find this out - until after checking the temperature with my hand, and asking the concierge/ front desk to turn up the temperature. Only then did they find out by calling maintenance that the pool heater was not working). There was no mention of when it would be fixed -if ever. »

«We were pleasantly surprised by this little place. We were honestly just looking for a cheap place to lay our heads for the night on a long trip home. I’m usually very picky about hotels but on this trip we were on a tight budget and I was a little nervous when booking. However, this place was absolutely wonderful. «Lovely staff, property is home to people eho are without housing and have animals which is very admirable. The rooms were very old and dirty. Linens were aweful, very uncomfortable place to stay for the amount paid!»

«Room was dated and mold in tub and walls of bath. Curtains did not keep huge lights outside from shining into room. Dining table was dirty at bfast. Food was fine and plenty to choose from. As a Hilton Member this one was not a great stay and there are many more choices across both sides of hiway. Would not stay here again.»

«Cool historic place but for the price would’ve rather just visited. Super small rooms, one bar with five seats, no real on site dining for dinner, and man they better fix that water pressure as you’ll get more wet sweating than standing under that. Prob my last time visiting but cool place»

«The Kress was an amazing surprise for my wife and I during a quick overnighter to meet up with some old childhood friends. I grew up in this area and the downtown district had been forgotten. It was great to see this place back to life. The Kress has done an excellent job restoring this old department store. The rooms are incredible with large common space and bedrooms. I wished we had booked an extra night. »
